A behind-the-scenes look at the making of Shin'ya Tsukamoto's film "Gemini".

Filmed version of the hit Broadway show with two of the original stars. Set in the backyard of a blue collar South Philadelphia neighborhood early in the summer of 1973, the comedy-drama focuses on the 21st birthday celebration of Harvard student Francis Geminiani. In attendance are his divorced blue collar father Fran and Fran's widowed girlfriend Lucille, next-door neighbor Bunny Weinberger and her overweight son Herschel, and Francis' classmates, the wealthy WASP Hastings siblings; Judith (who seeks romance with Francis) and Randy (the object of Francis' unexpressed affection), who have arrived unexpectedly, much to their friend's dismay. All are dysfunctional to varying degrees, and the interactions among them provide the play with its comic and dramatic moments.

Gemini is a special child with some behavioral disorders. She is an adopted child and to make things even more difficult, her parents are not in the best of terms. She is often ridiculed by her peers, but two of her teachers realize her potential and urges her to egg on.

Vijay Varma and psychologist Anusree have no children and they adopt a baby girl who is 2.5 years old. Gemini grows up as an obedient, smart girl. But drastic change is seen in her behavior and mannerisms, at a particular stage of life.

Gemini (Vikram) is a hoodlum, who lives off extortions and petty crime. A brief love affair with the new girl on the block (Kiran), leads him on a path to reform, which ultimately pits him against the local goon Teja (Kalabhavan Mani).

NYPD undercover detective Anna Diaz is a streetwise and tough-as-nails New York cop forced to live dual lives. Diaz’s deep undercover persona drives her to keep people at a distance as a blown cover would mean death.

Sam Casey is an agent for INTERSECT, a government think-tank and operations center specializing in secret missions. While on a diving assignment, Sam was affected by the radiation from an underwater explosion. The radiation rendered him invisible, but INTERSECT devised a way to control his invisibility, by fitting him with a computerized watch that kept him visible. He could, however, shut it off, and become invisible again, for short periods of time. If he did this for more than 15 minutes in any 24 hour period he would die. This ability to become invisible made him a very effective agent.
